Registration for Atlantic Cape’s 13-Week Fall Semester at Cape May Campus Opens April 8

Registration for Fall 2024 classes at the Cape May campus opens April 8

CAPE MAY COURT HOUSE — Guarantee your seat for Atlantic Cape Community College’s upcoming Fall semester at the Cape May campus. Registration opens Monday, April 8 for students with 30+ credits; Tuesday, April 9 for students with 15+ credits; Wednesday, April 10 for students with less than 15 credits and Thursday, April 11 for all other students.

Fall registration at Atlantic CapeThe full, 13-week fall semester at the Cape May campus runs September 23 - December 2. In order to allow students from Cape May to fit their college education into their seasonal work schedules, which are heavily-dependent on tourism between Memorial Day and Labor Day, the Cape May campus offers this condensed semester.

New this Fall semester, the Cape May campus is partnering with the Cape May Point Science Center to offer an Environmental Science course with a lab component on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. Ten, $1,000 scholarships, through the generosity of the Mullock Family Endowment, are being offered to incoming Cape May and Atlantic County high school graduates who enroll in this class.

A Culinary Arts one-year certificate program cohort is also being offered this fall. Students that enroll in this course could receive a $2,500 scholarship and culinary knife set. The scholarship and knife kit offers are limited and awarded on a first come, first served basis to new students only who register for six culinary arts credits in Fall 2024 in order to qualify.

The popular evening Nursing Program cohort will once again be offered at the Cape May campus as well. Applications are now being accepted at atlanticcape.edu/nursing. Deadline is June 3, so don’t delay.

Those interested in learning more about the degree and career training programs available at the Cape May campus may attend an Open House on Tuesday, April 9, 5-6:30 p.m. Meet college faculty, take a student-led tour of the campus, and speak with college staff about the enrollment process and financial aid opportunities. Our Stop, Drop & Enroll One-Stop Enrollment Day will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 3-6 p.m. Interested students can get one-on-one assistance with registering for classes while also taking a campus tour, and learning about Atlantic Cape’s programs and services.

Financial aid and Pell grants are available as well for the Fall semester. If you earn less than $100,000, your tuition may be free or reduced through the Community College Opportunity Grant. Learn more at atlanticcape.edu/free. Flexible payment plans are also available.

There is still time to register for in-person and online Summer session classes. Atlantic Cape’s three campuses in Mays Landing, Atlantic City and Cape May are offering four sessions this summer: full, 14-week session from May 20-August 22; 6-week, first Summer session from May 20-June 27; 8-week, second Summer session from July 1-August 22 and a 6-week, third Summer session from July 15-August 22. Atlantic Cape’s 68,000-square-foot Cape May campus opened in August 2005 on South Dennis Road adjacent to the Cape May County 4-H Grounds. The facility features two wings that house an information commons with a combination library and computer lab; a 100-seat lecture hall; cafeteria; and 15 classrooms, including chemistry and biology labs, three academic computer labs, two continuing-education computer labs and nursing simulation lab, and one distance education classroom.

The Cape May campus offers credit, non-credit and personal enrichment classes. In addition, it provides support services facilities, including counseling, testing, tutoring and financial aid offices as well as administrative offices.
